Mutations

Mutation has a bad rap. Sensibly so, I suppose, it is, you know, often fatal. Outside of the X-men you don't hear many good things about mutations.
Unless, of course, you read up on evolutionary theory. Random mutation is the engine that makes change possible.

Why am I rambling about this? Well, my recent story *cough* (http://www.allegoryezine.com/stories/fiction/a_sheep_in_his_clothing) *cough* is very much a product of such mutations.

Point of view changed, setting changed, the very nature of reality changed from story pitch to mutated pages. And like any part of life, it will still change. Writers often work on the same ideas, the same characters over years, stories books. I don't think this is the last time we will see the colorful man or the pale woman. Though it what form and what name? God if I know.
